Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program
YMCA Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Program is a community-based cardiac prevention, rehabilitation and maintenance program, in partnership with South Shore Health.
There are currently two group exercise sessions which run on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm, which are supervised by qualified staff from South Shore Regional Hospital. The session is designed for individuals who are recovering from heart attacks and other related illnesses. The 12-week program includes supervised exercise in the YMCA conditioning center, circuit training in the aerobic studio and educational seminars.
Attendees must be referred by their GP or directly from the Cardiac Unit at South Shore Health in order to participate in this session.
