Although revenue from membership fees has grown modestly, each year the YMCA must raise funds through annual campaigns, special events, and government grants in order to provide a range of programs and services. It remains an ongoing challenge to acquire necessary funding to ensure that the YMCA carries on the tradition of having a strong and meaningful presence in this community.
Why Invest in the YMCA
We are a charitable organization concerned with the development of people and the future of our community. Our goal is to continue meeting the needs of many through our value-based programs and services. We depend on financial contributions to continue this legacy. Contributions can be allocated to our Annual Giving Campaign, our Endowment Fund or Capital Fund. Your charitable contribution to the YMCA is an investment in Community Building.
The Capital Fund – Investing in the Future
Growing and serving more people is what the YMCA is all about. In order to do this we require major capital support for improvements to our facility and equipment. From October 2001 to the end of 2004, more than $990,000 was raised to build the new facility located on the NSCC campus.
