Group fitness classes are among the most popular programs offered by the YMCA. Whether you're a beginner or a disciplined athlete, we have a wide variety of classes for all levels. Fitness classes are open to all members. Please refer to the Youth Guidelines for youth participation.
Class Descriptions:
Arabic Dance: A traditional form of dance from the Middle East, characterized by movements of the abdominal muscles. (Fitness Level: Beginner-Advanced)
Belly Fit: Belly Fit is a fitness class, which is devoted to exercises specifically geared towards increasing flexibility, stomach toning and strengthening core muscles. Learn better posture, attack those saggy biceps, and tone that booty!! This fitness class is perfect for everyone and all levels

Body Flex: Uses a variable weight barbell and selected weight plates to work each major muscle group. A great way to incorporate weight training in a supervised setting.

Boot Camp: If you are looking for a class that is filled with some challenge and fun then this is for you. This class will take your fitness to a new level by incorporating athletic drills, plyometrics, free weights and cardio into the routine. (Fitness Level: Beginner-Advanced)
Core Zone & Tone:
Challenge and define your abs, back, and legs, improve balance with the use of a stability ball, own body’s resistance, and other equipment.

Cycle Fit: From beginner to elite, cycle fit allows exercisers to work out together, while choosing their own resistance and peddling rate.

Kardio Kickboxing: A high-energy combination class that includes abdominal work and kicks.

Kripalu Yoga: Kripalu is a gentle hatha yoga practice with a compassionate approach and emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation that overflows into daily life.

Modern Dance: Learn basic moves, techniques and choreographed exercises that evolved from ballet into a graceful style of movement. (Fitness Level: Beginner-Advanced)
Nice n’ Easy: Join the Fun! Low impact cardio and strength moves with the use of stability ball, weights, tubing or body bars to get muscles moving for optimal strength, endurance and balance. Suitable for new exercisers, older adults and persons with limited mobility. (Fitness Level: Beginner-Intermediate)
Pump n’ Pedal: A cycle fit class followed by muscle conditioning using a variety of equipment.

Step Circuit: All fitness levels can enjoy fun cardio step routines and resistance exercises.

Stretch and Relax: 15 or 30 minutes focusing on yoga-inspired stretching for the whole body. Please arrive warmed up. (Fitness Level: Beginner-Advanced)
Tone & Flex: Traditional inspired Pilate’s type moves to strengthen core and improve balance and posture.

Zumba Hi-lo: This aerobic style class boasts moves and routines which feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class!
