Strength and Conditioning Training

Whether you’re just getting started on a fitness regimen or have already achieved a high level of fitness, YMCA Strength and Conditioning may be for you. Strength and conditioning training is for any individual who has made a serious commitment to themselves. Your objective may be short-term--looking and feeling great for an upcoming event--or long-term, such as improving your overall strength, endurance and agility. YMCA Wellness Leaders can help. Peronal Training

A great way to get started with a Wellness Leader is to do a fitness assessment. You'll go through a brief set of exercises with a YMCA Wellness Leader, who will help you understand your own fitness level and work with you to set realistic goals for improving your health.

Once our Wellness Leader has assessed your fitness level they will:

  • teach you exercises which will best meet your fitness goals
  • teach you correct form for each exercise, and show you modifications to suit your individual body type
  • help you establish realistic goals, continually adjusting your workout to keep pace with your changing needs
